<image:title>Seeking Change? - Want to make changes in your life?</image:title>
<image:caption>Change is one of the constants in life, and finding ways to relate to that change can make a huge impact on our day to day happiness. Sometimes change happens to us, and we may struggle to adapt to that change— we experience an unexpected breakup, we encounter job loss, or perhaps we lose a pet or loved one. Other times we feel ourselves changing in some significant way for the better or worse— we feel ourselves outgrowing a job or longing to launch a new career, we experience unwanted sadness or anxiety, we yearn to change our relationships, or we simply feel “stuck” and want to do something about it. No matter where change is occurring in your life, I am here to help you relate to those changes in ways that will help you carve out the kind of life you want to live. Everyone deserves to have someone in their corner who will listen without judgement, help them take steps toward the things they want out of life, and celebrate accomplishments. I’m here to help you get started, begin again, or complete your dream.</image:caption>

<image:title>Seeking Change? - Want to change something about your relationship?</image:title>
<image:caption>Because as individuals we change over time, so do the ways we function in our relationships. Relationships can feel different in year 5,12, or 35 than they did in the beginning. In many ways relationships can get easier over time, but sometimes they feel like more work than we expected. We may think, “my partner has changed,” “I don’t know how to communicate with them anymore,” “I want this to feel how it used to feel",” or “how can we make this work?” As people with constantly evolving identities in an increasingly complex world, I’m not going to lie to you…it can be difficult to maintain a happy and healthy relationship. I’ll share a secret, though. I’ve seen it done time and time again by people who are motivated to aspire toward a better life together. Improving your relationship or marriage is not only possible, it’s almost guaranteed for people committed to the process. Are you ready to improve intimacy, change the way you handle conflict, rebuild trust, or map out your next big adventure together? You can do these things if you have the motivation to do so! I also want to acknowledge that not everyone is looking to improve their relationship or grow old together. Some people are simply trying be friends again, amicably uncouple, or be the best coparents they can possibly be. You can love a person and still make the choice to take separate paths going forward. I am happy to help you achieve these admirable goals. Whether you are dating and wanting to talk about next steps or premarital counseling, married and wanting to improve your communication, in midlife and wanting to re-imagine the second half of your life together, or trying to discern whether remaining together is what’s best for you, I provide an affirming space for all couples— straight and gay, young and mature, religious and secular, traditional and unique, or anything in between…I believe in acceptance for all. When you are ready to change your relationship for the better, I’m here to help. Give me a call for a free consultation even if you may not be sure you’re ready for therapy as a couple. I am happy to determine if I can help or if other options might better serve your goals.</image:caption>

<image:title>About the Therapist & Practice - About Dr. Jessica Moore</image:title>
<image:caption>I hold a doctorate in Interpersonal and Family Communication from the University of Texas at Austin and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have professional education in mindfulness from both Duke University Integrative Medicine (MBSR) and the School of Professional Studies at Brown University (MBCT). I also completed training in compassion studies at the Stanford University Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCH) and marital training from from the preeminent center in the country focused on relationship research, The Gottman Institute. Prior to opening a private practice, I was a university professor for over 15 years and taught courses in Interpersonal Communication, Relational and Family Communication, Sex Communication, and Health Communication, among many others. The philosophical orientation of my work is not only integrative, but highly relational in nature. I work closely with individual clients as well as couples to improve their lives, relationships, and overall wellbeing. Every client I see has distinct treatment and support needs; some flourish after a a short series of sessions and others may need ongoing therapy along with text or phone support to achieve their goals. Accordingly, I am well known to support clients in session as well as between sessions as part of my therapeutic paradigm— that might look like moral support and/or motivation between sessions, self-directed homework assignments, occasional humor to lighten a moment or laugh about a situation, celebrating accomplishments with you, or simple tool reminders to support your journey. Providing clients with uplifting, educational, and individualized therapeutic experiences is my passion, which is why I left academia to enter full-time clinical practice. I see clients with a wide variety of experiences, but I commonly support: Anxiety and Depression Individuals with High-Pressure Careers Dating, Married, & Long-Term Relationships Relational & Sexual Communication Premarital, Discernment, and ENM Counseling LGBTQIA+ Clients & Couples Therapist & Psychologists University Students & Professors Outdoor & Walking Therapy Mindfulness (MBSR/MBCT) & Self-Compassion Training I am a native Texan, but I have lived across the US and now call the Austin area home. In my spare time I enjoy hiking with my dogs, biking, documentary films, live music, visual art, reading ridiculous amounts of nonfiction, and adventures with my spouse of over 20 years.</image:caption>

<image:title>About the Therapist & Practice - About Integrative Therapy of Texas</image:title>
<image:caption>What is integrative therapy? Integrative therapy is a progressive form of therapy in which the therapist combines therapeutic techniques to meet the needs of each unique client. In essence, it’s therapy that is tailored to fit the specific and evolving needs of each individual, couple, or family. Where do you see clients? I primarily see clients in my office in the Northwest Hills area of Austin and online through virtual therapy sessions. I also see a limited number of clients outdoors at select natural areas in and around Austin— commonly Central Park (38th @ Lamar) or Brushy Creek Lake Park. What is walking therapy? Walking therapy is a form of eco-therapy that take place outside, often while walking a predetermined path for the duration of the appointment. I offer walking therapy in the Austin area and am happy to discuss the potential to move your sessions outdoors. Walking therapy can be wonderful for many clients, but it’s not appropriate for every person or circumstance. What are your rates? 50 minute sessions at Integrative Therapy of Texas range from $175 for individuals to $275 for couples and multi-person sessions. 75 minutes sessions are also available as needed to achieve our goals. I offer sliding scale discounted therapy services and special rates are offered for self-sustaining college students and those who may be experiencing financial hardship. Please ask for a sliding scale application if access to my services seems impossible or improbable. I hold a certain number of appointments per week for scaled clients. Do you accept insurance? Integrative Therapy of Texas does not process insurance claims on behalf of clients, but we are happy to provide documentation necessary to request reimbursement from your insurance company.</image:caption>
